SSL issuance: Procedure

To understand a certificate buying process, you need to know how the SSL technology works.

A SSL certificate needs two essential and inseparable elements to work:

  • A privet key generated by the server
  • A public key created from the elements included in the CSR

In order to create a certificate, the certification authority needs the public key. Before placing an order, the CSR must be created and provided in the certificate order form.
